Limited Edition Print of "Solent spirit” Supermarine S.6.B.

Outright winner of the Schneider Trophy, 1937, this plane was built especially to compete in the 1931 Jacques Schneider trophy and was designed by R. F Mitchel who also designed the spitfire. It features a Rolls Royce engine "r" series ratedt 2350 hp fuelled by alcohol, benzol acetone and tetrahyl lead wingspan of 30 ft and 4590 lbs weight empty.

This limited edition print by Peter Warne is numbered 23/750 and signed. The image depicts the s 1595 winner of the race and trophy with an average speed of 340 mph and later went on to break the world speed record at 407 mph with a modified engine. This is a true reflection of an iconic piece of aviation history and a must for the discerning collector. It is extremely rare to find such a quality signed ltd edition print in mint condition. The print is framed but can easily be changed for a better quality one if desired. 21 x 17 inches.
